Le Professeur Robert Delcamp profite d’une tournée européenne pour revisiter l’orgue de Dudelange qu’il avait joué en 2004 lors de son enregistrement d’œuvres de Camille Saint-Saëns pour le label NAXOS. Il a gardé de l’orgue de Dudelange un si bon souvenir qu’il a demandé de pouvoir le rejouerb par pur plaisir et sans demander de cachet!

Prof. Robert DELCAMP

Robert Delcamp is Professor of Music, University Organist and Choirmaster, and Chair of the Music Department at The University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee. He is organist of All Saints' Chapel on the university campus, where he also directs the chapel choir. Under his direction the choir has made several recordings and eight tours of England, including residencies at York Minster and Wells Cathedral. A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, he was a pupil of Wayne Fisher at the College-Conservatory of Music at the University of Cincinnati, where he earned Bachelor and Master of Music degrees in organ performance. He later earned the DMus. degree from Northwestern University. He continued his study in France with Louis Robillard, Organiste Titulaire at the Church of Saint François de Sales, in Lyon.As a concert artist Robert Delcamp has toured extensively throughout the United States, performing for numerous chapters of the American Guild of Organists and presenting workshops on organ technique, hymn-playing, and organ repertoire, as well concerts and workshops devoted to the organ music of Marcel Dupré. Robert Delcamp has made a speciality of the 19th and early twentieth century organ repertoire. His recordings for Naxos include three volumes in the Organ Encyclopedia series of the complete organ works of Dupré (8.553918, 8.554026, 8.554209) and CDs of organ music by Camille Saint-Saëns (Dudelange, Luxembourg) (8.557285) and Alexandre Guilmant (8.557614).
